He’s living at home on our couch.” At the meeting, he met a guy who offered to get me a job. My dad was complaining about me, saying, “My son’s unemployed. I got a job because my dad went to an AA meeting one night. I had no idea I was going to be in a financial company, real estate or speaking. Most of the great things in our life don’t show up looking like we think they will. I found out I had a tumor in my leg from my baseball career. OVERCOMING DARK TIMES & DISCOVERING HIS CALLINGĮd Mylett: I thought my calling was to play baseball. I feel stronger about it today than ever before. Like anything in life, if something is your calling, despite the small obstacles, you have to do it. All the things I gained and all the people I helped outweighs the privacy I lost. He told me, “There are things you’re going to lose.” But for me, those things were pretty insignificant. Can you tell us about your decision to enter into this space?Įd Mylett: I didn’t want to share them either, to be honest with you. Some people don’t want to share personal experiences like you have firsthand. I hate all this negativity and the fact that I even took the time to participate in this negative thread of low life’s makes me sick.Tricia Love Vargas: The impact you’ve had both digitally and through in-person events where you share motivational messages is quite the calling to step up to. I would be very surprised if any one else in this thread is anything close to an entrepreneur. I am an entrepreneur and in my experience, the real entrepreneurs I know take Ed Mylett seriously. Bottom line he’s 100X more successful and happier than any of us in this thread, that’s a fact! I built a video production business that now makes $80,000 annually. Who gives a f*ck how he became successful? I’m not a fan of MLM, but if he became rich from a MLM business, all it proves is MLM can actually work if you work hard enough at it. Regardless of why you think Ed Mylett isn’t real, or authentic, or whatever… the proof is in the pudding. You seem to think that every motivational speaker is fake, most are not. You guys need to learn some growth mindset. I don’t even listen to Ed Mylett much, but everything I’ve heard from him has been spot on. So much negativity! You will never be successful with this negative, low life victim mindset you are clearly portraying.
